The Mat Hoist® Storage System tops conventional storage methods by eliminating the risks. This is done simply by storing your wrestling and gymnastics mats at ceiling level, leaving gym floors free for other activities, and reducing damage to the mat. Unless you have a practice room, mats are usually stored in hallways, closets, stages, bleachers, and gym floors. This ties up valuable space provided for other usage, in addition to damaging the mat when it is moved. Movement through doorways cuts multiple V-shaped gouges in the vinyl surface and core of the mat. The Mat Hoist® solves these problems simply and easily. Just roll your mat into the one-piece sling. Attach the sling to the steel load bar and turn the key until the system automatically stops. The key switch is centrally located so the entire process can be viewed during movement. The entire storage operation takes only minutes.

The Mat Hoist takes the danger out of moving wrestling and gymnastics mats by lifting them to be stored at ceiling level. Present procedures require an army of untrained student/athletes to maneuver approximately 1,700 lbs. of mat across bleachers, through doorways, and over other dangerous obstacles. With the Mat Hoist®, there is no heavy lifting and balancing on bleachers. Just a turn of the key and the operation is done safely!

This wrestling mat equipment is for your wrestling program!

My new website was created for The Mat Hoist® products only! Do not be fooled by copycats or impostors. I started the Mat Hoist® thirty years ago and as an ex-wrestler decided to manufacture the best “trouble-free, load tested for safety” system I could for the great sport of wrestling.

The copycat impostors are making cheaper mat lifters by using only two (2) cables to support your entire 42’x 42’ mat. In order for their two (2) motors to lift at the exact same speed, they need a motor synchronizer to adjust the motors RPM. Adjustment to the motor speed? What happens in the future when one of the motors does not synchronize? Is this now the coach’s problem? Who pays to have the electrician come out to fix it? And what happens if it’s wrestling season and you need your mats for a meet?

I manufacture the Mat Hoist® with a twenty foot (20’) long frame, drive shaft, with three (3) cable drums and most important a high efficient helical speed reducer with one (1) industrial three (3) phase motor. Even if the electricity goes off, our motor system has a manual override to let your mats come down for meets! The decision is yours, Coach!! This equipment is for your wrestling program, not basketball.

In new gym construction, the architect determines the specifications for all the gym equipment. When it comes to The Mat Hoist®, he doesn’t know that there’s a huge difference! He allows any gym equipment manufacturer to bid their system as an equal. It’s all about the gymnasium “bid package”. I allow all gym equipment dealers to bid The Mat Hoist® systems, if that is what the architect specs. If you don’t care which system he specs, fine. But if you have read this and want the best system, let the architect know that you want the Mat Hoist® only! Some of the copycat impostors even use our Mat Hoist® name, don’t be fooled.

Don’t settle for any cheaper two (2) cable unit hidden in the “bid package”. Demand the best, a trouble free, tested system for your wrestling program. Our present warranty for all Mat Hoist® systems is five (5) years. I will personally give you, the head coach, an extended TEN-YEAR warranty! Make sure the architect puts that in the specifications!
